The Friends of the River Valley Alliance Leadership Training Program is a terrific opportunity to learn about our region’s most valuable natural resource and to serve our community.
Through the training sessions, the RVA aims to inspire citizens to become stewards of our natural areas and empower them with information that will contribute to the Capital Region’s environmental legacy.
You will learn some of the history of the organization and its mission to work with seven member municipalities, provincial and federal governments to champion the park system of the Capital Region North Saskatchewan River Valley. There will also be information on the geological and cultural history of the North Saskatchewan River. Finally, you will learn about RVA projects – past, present and future in our partner municipalities. We will also share events and outreach efforts designed to educate and motivate others in the Capital Region to protect, preserve and enhance the River Valley for generations to come, and how you can help.
